About the land I occupy

The property where I homestead occupies the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary Lands of the Anishinaabeg–Three Fires Confederacy of Ojibwe, Odaawa, and Bodéwadmi (Potawatomi) peoples. My home and “owned” property reside on Land taken through the 1819 Treaty of Saginaw. By offering this Land Acknowledgement, I affirm Indigenous sovereignty and will work to hold myself accountable to the needs of American Indian and Indigenous peoples.
